*PMU Horse Placement* was founded by a group of concerned people interested in the welfare of former Canadian PMU horses and the Ranchers who raised those horses.

'PMU' (pregnant mare urine) is a substance used in the manufacture of HRT (hormone replacement therapy) drugs for women world wide.

In light of recently published medical studies and findings that negatively affected the prescribing of these HRT drugs, there have been severe cutbacks in PMU production levied against the ranchers which produced the PMU. Most PMU ranches have lost their production contracts.

The decreased demand for PMU production has left many ranchers without contracts, and their horses in need of new homes.

*PMU Horse Placement* has offered to help in this time of crisis. With the full cooperation of our Canadian ranchers, we are offering many good horses, both registered and grade, for sale to the public. We will also be monitoring the auction pens for good horses which have found themselves in unfortunate circumstances and offer those horses for sale to a wider audience through this website.
